A nonprofit, Christian social service ministry helping and providing hope to the poor and homeless in southern New Jersey since 1964. People who have no homes receive practical help, counseling, and Christian compassion. Built on effective, innovative, Christian-based recovery programs, people are brought from despair into a productive, worthwhile quality of life within the community – because they learn to have faith in themselves. This philosophy has led to innovative co-operative partnerships with local universities and medical centers, and a goal of applying best practices and social service models making Atlantic City Rescue Mission a premier leader in life restoration and recovery.

Rick Renninger - Africa

The church in the Majority World is growing exponentially! This has created an enormous need for pastors rooted in “the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” Rick joined ELI is 2012 because of the vision of training pastors who would also be dedicated to training others. Rick has had the privilege of teaching pastors in Africa (Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sierra Leone) and in Asia (India and Nepal). Through these trained pastors thousands of people are growing in Christ, reflecting what it means to be a follower of Christ. To join Rick’s prayer team and to be encouraged, send him an email at wrren5@gmail.com with “Add” in the subject line.

John & Mary Henry

Facebook: YWAMOCNJ

LinkedIn: johnhenry

John & Mary have been with Youth With A Mission since 1985. After leading student missions internships in over 35 countries, they were led by God to move to Ocean City in 2013. They are connecting, equipping, and sending emerging leaders who serve God in every area of influence. Their first discipleship training school had outreaches to Albania, where dozens of young people came to faith in Christ, and India, where hundreds of people living in slums and leprosy colonies were treated with medical and dental care. YWAM OC, NJ also offers various missions short-courses and youth camps. To serve even more people with missions opportunities, they built Converge (www.ywamconverge.org), an online matching, training, and funding platform. Mary’s role includes the Transcripts Office for YWAM’s University of the Nations.  John and his wife, Mary, live in Ocean City, NJ. They have three children, Justin, Nathan, and Rebecca.

Gerber & Michelle Perez

Email: gerber@missionimpact.com
Website: www.missionimpact.com

Mission Impact works in rural villages in an area called Ixcan, that doesn’t have access to clean water or fuel efficient stoves. They partner with the local church, schools and other NGOs to train workers and empower the community to solve their own problems.

Gerber & Michelle also host short-term mission teams from churches and universities who come down from anywhere from a week to a month to work alongside them and serve with the community. Another part of their ministry involves training and sharing effective models of ministry and development.

Lauren Pupchik

Email:  Lauren8482@hotmail.com

Lauren Pupchik’s life was transformed when she experienced the Father’s love and His healing embrace in a wonderful way and just couldn’t keep quiet about it! God called Lauren out of New Jersey to Guatemala on her 18th birthday while on a short-term missions trip. Serving in Guatemala since 2003,  Lauren directs the Child Sponsorship Program at Wisdom and Grace Christian School (Colegio Cristiano Saber y Gracia) in the rural farming community of Santo Tomas Milpas Altas, about an hour outside of Guatemala City. Lauren works with Guatemalan students teaching and discipling them about their true identity in the family of God through Jesus Christ and His great love for them. Lauren and the leadership team at Wisdom and Grace have recently planted a church called "Covenant of Grace Church" where many are accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior and getting baptized. God has given them a vision to build a school and church for 1,000 students to impact and transform a generation and beyond with the gospel.
