Don’t Forget, You’re Never Forgotten
Here is an invitation to make this an oft prayed prayer, perhaps even daily.
It is from Isaiah 63:7-9.
First I’ll share the actual verses, and then with the help of the Holy Spirit, I’m going to take a little liberty and create a personal prayer out of these verses. Please set your heart to not only read this, but to take a moment to pray these words.
“I shall make mention of the loving kindnesses of the Lord, the praises of the Lord,
According to all that the Lord has granted us,
And the great goodness toward the house of Israel,
Which He has granted them according to His compassion
And according to the abundance of His loving kindnesses.
For He said, 'Surely, they are My people,
Sons who will not deal falsely.'
So He became their Savior.
In all their affliction He was afflicted,
And the angel of His presence saved them;
In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them,
And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.”
Here is the prayer.
“Dear Almighty Father, I shall make mention of Your lovingkindesses (note the plural emphasis).
These lovingkindnesses are such a cause for me to praise You LORD
The memory of all that You have granted to me (us).
I will recall the great goodness towards us that have become mine (ours) because of Your compassion, and the (super) abundance of Your lovingkindneses.
For You have said to me (us) ‘Surely they (you) are My people, Sons and Daughters who will not play Me false.'
And then, Lord God of mercy and love, You became my (our) Savior; in all our affliction You were afflicted. (Father, You knew about and entered into everything we will ever encounter.)
And the angel of Your presence saves us in Your (everlasting) love, and in Your (never-ending) mercy You redeemed us.
Like the Father that You are, You will lift us and carry us all the days of our lives.”
In Jesus name, Amen.
Blessings and prayers,
